The Making of a Pandemic Dance Film
Creating a dance production with 40 performers during the Pandemic presented a unique set of creative challenges.

Memories in Solitude
This video is a movement reflection with Marie Fourcaut (and other dancers) of Carla Kimball's photography exhibit entitled "Solitude" at the AVA Gallery in Lebanon, NH during the early pandemic months in 2020.

Shifting Terrain
Interview with choreographer Kate Gamble about her production in Lyman Park, White River Junction, VT in late summer 2020.
Carla spent most of 2021 collaborating with Peggy Brightman, choreographer, to produce a five act film entitled Our Voices, Bodies Rising, as a dedication to Ruth Bader Ginsberg and celebrating a centennial of women’s suffrage in poetry and dance. This film is a new and unique approach to filming dance guided by Pandemic restrictions, blending poetry and dance with music, created, performed and created by some 40 local participants ( ages 6 to 80’s) using smart-phone videos and recordings. Stay tuned for future showings of the film by subscribing to our newsletter. The documentary “The Making of a Pandemic Dance Film” explores the unique challenges faced by the choreographer, filmmaker and performers in the creation of Our Voices, Bodies Rising.
