Instead of attending any of the marches in big cities close by on the Saturday after the inauguration, I participated in an event preparing for a group of 23 Syrian refugee families that were scheduled to arrive this month in Rutland, Vermont.  During this event people donated lamps to be used in their new homes.  Tragically only two families made it before the executive order.  Here are the lamps we collected…
