Dancing in the Wind

Several years ago I started taking photos of a red chair I’d found in a barn and then printing those images on fabric and cutting them into strips.  For a year these images hung in a cabin that was not weather proof, so they were exposed to snow, wind, sun and rain during that entire time.  Once that exhibit was down I hung this one image from that exhibit on the outside of my woodshed.  It’s been there for about a year and a half, again exposed to all the elements.  It still seems to be in pretty good shape.

Today was particularly windy and I thought I’d demonstrate how by cutting the fabric into strips, the image will dance in the wind.

Question of the day…

What has aged really well despite difficult conditions?
