Finding an opening

Here’s my favorite stucco wall in Florida.  I’ve taken many photos of this wall over the years as it’s evolved and changed.  In the past there’s been lots of ivy crawling up the sides.  Recently (in the past couple of years) all the ivy has been removed and the wall has been repainted.  In this photo, taken this winter,  you can see evidence of previous vines in the little “footsteps” up the wall in the lower center of the image.  But see how tenacious ivy can be!  New growth has found its way through the cracks.  I’m reminded of a Leonard Cohen quote (my favorite!):  “There’s a crack in everything.  That’s where the light comes in.”

Question of the day…

Where is the light coming in for you?
