Sunrise on the Solstice

Or at least very close to it… This photo, taken at 7:10 this morning, was actually taken just a few minutes too late. When I awoke, the sky was a vivid orange. By the time I mobilized myself, got my camera, and went outside to take the photo, the sky had changed. I don’t normally take sunrise or sunset photos, but it seemed apt on one of the very shortest days of the year. I’m definitely ready to welcome the lengthening of the days.
