Prints: I have had a long-time aversion to framing photos. I feel that most frames and mats people chose to display a photo detract from the image. So, I no longer print my images on paper but instead print on float-mounted aluminum plates. Not only are these prints archival quality, but they are also water-proof and scratch resistant.
What I like most about these aluminum prints is that you don’t have to worry about matting or framing them. They hang about a half inch from the wall and light cast upon them creates a shadow effect that gives the experience of framing, as you can see in the image below:
This next example is one of my most subtle images that really shows off the luminosity of an image printed on aluminum.
This last example shows a series of 4 x 6 images hung together for an exhibit. All are printed on aluminum.
