Stepping Stones

January 27, 2012

While walking in a new (to me) neighborhood last week I came across an artists retreat space that consisted of a series of open air pavilions.  This pool was in one of them and consisted of a series of concrete stepping stones separated by pools of water (the dark areas in the photo).  It had a feeling of grace and danger to it at the same time…

Question of the day…

When have you taken a risky step that ended up filled with grace?

Wish I could recall some “risk leading to grace” moments that are shareable, but they have happened to me. I think in a very broad sense, the span of anyone’s life could be seen as such . . . a risky birth followed by a series of graces, small and profound. Our job then becomes one of discerning the graces and sharing them if possible.
